Q: What are the system requirements for SmartSync Pro?
A: Hard drive with at least 20 MB of free space for installation, 256 MB RAM or more, 233 MHz processor, or faster. Windows 7/Vista/XP/2000 and Windows Server 2011/2008/2003/2000. Both platforms x86 and x64 are supported.
  
Q: What limitations are there in the trial version of SmartSync Pro?
A: There are no functional limitations in the 30-days trial version. The only limitation concerns the log file at the bi-directional synchronization: it is impossible to enable the option "Add File Names to Log File", only summary appears.
  
Q: What is SmartSync Pro profile?
A: SmartSync Pro profile is an object that contains a set of folders, processing and scheduling options, as well as inclusion and exclusion filters. To start any backup, synchronization or restoring action, you will need first to create a new profile.
  
Q: Is there a way to save all the profiles in one file for easy import?
A: Yes, please, use built-in profile template "SmartSync Pro Profiles and Settings". (Select menu File | New | Profile)

A: No, SmartSync Pro cannot support whole system backup. You can back up only files and folders.
  
Q: Can SmartSync Pro run as a service?
A: Yes, the program can be run as a service under Windows 7, Vista, XP, 2000 and Windows Server 2008, 2003, 2000. Both platforms x86 and x64 are supported.
  
Q: Can SmartSync Pro back up/synchronize open files?
A: Yes, the program backs up open and in-use files. This feature works on NTFS volumes only. It works under x86 and x64.
  
Q: Is it possible not to launch SmartSync Pro at Windows Startup?
A: Yes, you will need to uncheck the option "Start at logon" (menu View - Options - Startup).
